Cysts and tumors can develop in the maxillary and/or mandibular bones. The most common lesions are infectious cysts that develop from a decayed tooth. Their treatment is essential to prevent the spread of infection and bone weakening. There are also non-dental origin cysts. Maxillofacial tumors are most often benign. They can be of dental or non-dental origin.
